I often find myself unintentionally speeding in car on the way to the thrift store, because of sheer excitement to get there to see what treasure finds me.  I believe objects find their way into our lives the same way people or pets do. I also believe in letting go of things when they don't serve us anymore, so that it can find its new home. This frame of mind makes letting go of things much easier. This tea cup found me and It looks to be hand made with special care and patients with all its patterns and detail. It had my heart at first glance. 

Recently I challenged myself to create a painting a day for 30 days and for six of those days I created white on white compositions. For me there is true virtue in white space. Some might say it to sterile or cold but I find white space to be much like a white canvas full of possibilities. 

This painting has a hand made frame of simple yet elegant oak wood. All that is needed is a small nail or thumb tack to hang it on your wall.
