One Year of Painting Every Week — What I Learned

This week marks a milestone I never imagined I’d reach: one full year of painting every single week. ✨

When I first started the Backwards Beauty collection, I wasn’t sure where it would take me. I had just come through illness, and honestly, I felt disconnected from my art. Out of curiosity, I began experimenting with AI images — something completely outside my comfort zone — and to my surprise, it brought me back to painting in a deeper way. That spark of playfulness became the seed of Backwards Beauty.

Over the past year, I’ve painted twenty Beauties. Each carries her own story and presence, and together they’ve re-connected me with why I paint in the first place.

In this week’s video, I’m sharing a compilation of the final ten Beauties in the collection, plus some behind-the-scenes moments as I get them ready for launch on September 8, 2025.

These 10 paintings are part of my very first Backwards Beauty Collection, which officially launches on September 8, 2025. In this video, you’ll see every brushstroke, every layer, and the full journey of these artworks coming to life.

This project began one year ago, and it feels perfectly full circle to be sharing them with you now. Creating this series has been a mix of nerves, joy, and discovery. I hope watching these time-capsules of painting sessions brings you peace, inspiration, and maybe even a spark to pick up your own brush.

Welcome back to my studio. In this episode, I start by reconnecting with nature — birds, clouds, and a few quiet moments before the brush meets the canvas. In my studio this week I am working on finishing up paintings getting them ready for my Collection Release. I have been working on a painting series called Backwards Beauty. This week I am signing, toning and fixing a bunch of paintings. Also, I have a special offer for a limited time to get one of my original paintings at a very low price.
