Carnations have never been a favorite choice of mine, but I was reminded by my cousin Trish that they are underdogs and under appreciated much like my favorite flower the daisy. I adore daisy's for their happy bright faces of yellow and white and feel they are under appreciated and often over looked. This painting was a turning point for me and I will never look at another carnation the same again.  I fell in love with their simplicity and regal head sitting a top dark green steam as if to say .... oh - hello.

This painting has a hand made frame of simple yet elegant oak wood. All that is needed is a small nail or thumb tack to hang it on your wall.

Oil on Canvas 12x 12 inches
